Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Electrical Engineer for its Nuclear Power program. Located in a hybrid setup, you will lead project teams, develop electrical design deliverables, perform complex calculations, and interface with clients during construction.

Minimum 5 years of experience and a PE license are preferred, with citizenship requirements per CFR 10 CFR 810. Position may require relocation to Overland Park KS or regional offices; strong knowledge of ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, and ProjectWise will

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in KS or other states as required.
Citizenship requirements in CFR 10 CFR 810.
Nuclear Power Plant facility design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead project teams as a technical specialist or project lead.
Develop design change packages for nuclear plant facilities.
Create electrical drawings: one-line and three-line diagrams, motor schematics, wiring diagrams.
Perform complex calculations: load flow, short circuit, motor starting, arc flash, protective relay sizing.
Prepare engineering deliverables, budgets, and schedules; interface with clients and construction teams.
