Job summary

J.F. Brennan Company, Inc. is hiring divers for nuclear diving operations. The role involves inspecting, maintaining, repairing, installing and performing related underwater tasks at nuclear facilities, with strict NRC and site access requirements.

Qualified candidates will have 5 years of commercial diving experience, a dive school diploma, ADCI physical, and First Aid/CPR/AED. Travel is required 100% of the time, and competitive compensation applies per union scales.

Qualifications

• 5 years of previous commercial diving experience.
• Dive school diploma required.
• ADCI compliant physical (MD/DO signature).
• First Aid/CPR/AED (Red Cross requirements).
• Emergency O2 provider (DAN requirements).
• Dive supervisor card preferred.
• Current ADCI certification card, HAZWOPER and rigging preferred.
• Ability to verbally and draw/sketch underwater findings for topside personnel.
• Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter, organized and creative.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Take safety precautions and monitor dive lengths and depths before expeditions.
• Check and maintain diving equipment such as helmets, masks, air tanks, harnesses, and gauges.
• Perform underwater search, salvage, recovery, and cleanup operations.
• Inspect/repair docks, pipelines, vessels, foundations using underwater tools and cameras.
• Cut and weld steel underwater using welding equipment.
• Recover objects by rigging and crane operations.
• Take test samples or photographs to assess conditions underwater.
• Remove obstructions with power hand tools under water.
• Set or guide placement of pilings for docks, bridges, cofferdams, or platforms.
• Travel 100% of the time.
