Job summary

Value Added Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Decontamination & Decommissioning Planning Manager for the West Valley Demonstration Project site in New York.

This role oversees detailed planning of D&D projects to ensure safe day-to-day operations and delivery on time and within budget. Requirements include a BA/BS in engineering, at least five years of planning and five years of management experience, four years in nuclear DOE environments, and preference for PMP or CAPM.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related project planning experience in nuclear D&D, engineering, operations/maintenance, and/or construction with progressing responsibility.
• Minimum of five (5) years of management experience.
• Minimum of four (4) years in a DOE or commercial nuclear environment.
• PMP or CAPM certification preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
• Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency Microsoft Office.
• Primavera software or other similar scheduling software experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong ethical standards and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and healthy work environment following safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Develop D&D plans with the Project Management Office.
• Lead teams to complete projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Review and approve major purchase orders and project changes.
• Produce and present technically accurate documents and reports.
