Job summary

Entergy invites applications for a Nuclear Engineer specialized in Fuel & Core Design, based onsite in Mississippi with up to 25% travel. You will contribute to the design, licensing, and loading patterns of nuclear fuel, working with core design engineers and fuel vendors.

The role spans design, safety analyses, and reactor physics support, with opportunities for growth from Engineer I to Senior Engineer based on experience and PE licensure.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering or closely related discipline; equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
• Engineer II+ should have experience in reactor engineering, safety analysis, core design, or related nuclear fuel fields.
• PE license (Nuclear) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage core reload projects for design and licensing of fuel bundles and reactor cores.
• Provide reactor physics and fuel criticality expertise to support analytical and design basis.
• Leverage operating experience and best practices to ensure safe and reliable fuel design and operation.
