Job summary

GEM Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Construction Engineer/Manager to lead planning, coordination, and field execution of facility modifications and upgrades in a highly regulated nuclear environment.

The role interfaces with Design Engineering, Operations, and EPC partners, translating designs into executable construction plans. The candidate will manage constructability, ITPs, QA/QC, and turnover packages, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule adherence while maintaining configuration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, plus 5+ years construction experience.
• U.S. citizenship due to federal work.
• Active or recently active DOE Q clearance or DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Experience supervising construction engineers and field teams.
• Experience with multi-discipline construction and vendor management.
• Knowledge of DOE/NRC regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate construction engineering and field execution.
• Interface between Design Engineering, Operations, PM, EPCs, vendors, and site leadership.
• Mentor construction engineers and resolve execution challenges.
• Translate designs into work packages with permits, procedures, ITPs, hold points, testing requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Oversee QA/QC inspections and ensure turnover documentation.
• Coordinate with utilities and external stakeholders for interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with NRC/DOE requirements and safety culture.
