Job summary

EnergySolutions is seeking Nuclear Combo Welders for the fall outage season to join a critical operations team at a nuclear facility in the United States. You will interpret blueprints and schematics to join, fabricate, and repair metal components, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and safety requirements.

We require a High School diploma or equivalent, at least 3 years of welding experience, and the ability to obtain nuclear unescorted access and fitness for duty.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of welding experience.
  • Prior nuclear power plant experience is highly desired.
  • Ability to obtain nuclear unescorted access and fitness for duty.
  • Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all job duties safely according to requirements.
  • Welds must pass bend or x-ray tests.
  • Purge and monitor stainless steel piping.
  • Operate welding machines and power tools safely.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics.
  • Work at varying heights and in cramped spaces.
  • Maintain ventilation and PPE compliance.
  • Perform cleanup duties.
  • Apply craft-related math skills.
  • Support other crafts as requested.
