Job summary

IntelliPro seeks an experienced Consulting Engineer (Civil/Structural) to support major capital projects at a commercial nuclear power facility in Surry, VA. The role involves design, structural analysis, piping support design, rigging evaluations, and field implementation for large plant modifications.

The position requires 10+ years in civil/structural design, nuclear industry experience, and expertise with design change packages. Occasional field support during outages is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Civil/Structural Design Engineering experience.
• Commercial nuclear industry experience.
• Experience with Engineering Design Change Packages.
• Experience with the Standard Design Process (IP-ENG-001).
• Strong background in structural engineering and seismic design.
• Experience with piping supports, rigging analysis, heavy load evaluations, and design verification.
• Experience developing equipment procurement specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering design change packages and supporting nuclear engineering documentation.
• Perform and review 10 CFR 50.59 Screens and Applicability Reviews.
• Conduct engineering assessments supporting piping replacements, floor loading, heavy rigging, and structural modifications.
• Review and approve engineering procedures, drawings, calculations, contingency plans, and training materials.
• Provide onsite engineering support during implementation and outage activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support large capital projects.
