Job summary

Southern Nuclear is seeking an experienced civil/mechanical engineer to provide technical leadership in mechanical components/systems and civil evaluations for Plant Vogtle 1 and 2. The role includes design changes, calculations, and coordination with site teams and vendors to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications include a BS in engineering and a PE license, with 5+ years in mechanical/civil components and nuclear facilities preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of mechanical/civil components experience preferred.
• 5+ years strongly preferred.
• Experience with nuclear power facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in mechanical components/systems and civil evaluations.
• Prepare and coordinate design changes and calculations.
• Modify drawings and calculations as needed.
• Conduct field walkdowns and provide construction support.
• Troubleshoot mechanical/civil component issues to maintain plant safety and reliability.
