Job summary

UPMC Hamot is seeking a full-time Nuclear Cardiology Technologist to join our team in Erie, PA. The role supports UPMC Hamot and the Hamot Heart Institute with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and no weekends.

The candidate will perform imaging procedures at a technical level with independent judgment, applying ionising radiation for diagnostic purposes, while maintaining high standards of patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program.
• ARRT(N) or CNMT registry or registry eligible.
• Must obtain registry within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients and obtain cooperation.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and review orders.
• Ensure exams are coded and archived properly; enter charges.
• Measure and record patient dose per safety guidelines.
• Maintain records of radiopharmaceutical receipt and disposal.
• Perform quality control on imaging and non-imaging equipment.
• Conduct nuclear cardiology exams to high professional standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to expedite patient care.
