Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Nuclear Analysis Technician C to assist engineers in generating, verifying, and delivering nuclear analysis data in a hybrid work setting.

The role focuses on data preparation, input review, and program support with a base salary range of $46,951 to $81,168 per year and a comprehensive benefits package. You will operate under the RVI Load Development & Analysis group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus an engineering associate degree or 60 college credits.
• Engineering curriculum must include two courses in physics and two in math.
• Ability to explain work assignments to other personnel.

Responsibilities

• Support the analysis, summarization, and preparation of data into written and graphic form using basic algebra and trigonometric functions.
• Review computer input using input sheets or specific check programs.
• Prepare computer input alterations based on information from initial raw data analysis.
• Support the modification of existing non-complex computer programs.
• Catalog and maintain input/output files, calculation notes and related records; run data analysis and plotting.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent + Associates degree or 60 college credits in an Engineering curriculum (physics & math)

Key Responsibilities:

As a Nuclear Analysis Technician C you will assist engineers and other higher classified personnel in technical type functions related to the generation, assemblage, and verification of nuclear analysis information.

You will report to the Manager, RVI Load Development & Analysis, Reactor Component Engineering and be located at the Cranberry, PA facility and work in a hybrid capacity.

• Support the analysis, summarization, and preparation of data into written and graphic form requiring calculations involving the use of basic algebraic formulae and trigonometric functions.
• Review computer program input using computer input sheets or specific check programs.
• Help prepare computer input alterations and modifications based on information derived from initial raw data analysis.
• Support the modification of existing non-complex computer programs.
• Catalog and maintain computer input and output files, calculation notes and associated records.Run data analysis and computer plotting programs using existing computer systems.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent plus Associates degree or 60 college credits in an Engineering curriculum. The college curriculum must include 2 courses in each of the following: physics and math.
• Explain work assignments to other personnel.
