Job summary

Oklo is hiring a Software Engineer to build production ML models for design and analysis of nuclear systems, leveraging Python and AI to accelerate engineering workflows. You may lead a growing software team and collaborate with nuclear engineers to deliver safe, efficient fission power technologies.

This role emphasizes rapid learning in a startup setting, hands-on coding, and ownership of roadmaps and demos for senior leadership, with travel to Santa Clara HQ for onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or equivalent software engineering experience.
• Experience managing and/or integrating AI into large, corporate data ontologies.
• Leading company-wide initiatives from inception to delivery and maintenance.
• Physics-informed machine learning and digital twins.
• Proficiency in Python.
• CI/CD piping and Git proficiency.
• Experience growing small software organizations.
• Working with large data collection pipelines.
• Optimization, statistics and DOE knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Invent and implement practical LLM-based workflows to accelerate business and engineering processes.
• Design, deploy and maintain production ML models for design/analysis of nuclear systems.
• Develop surrogate models for real-time digital twins.
• Grow and manage a software team to support AI initiatives.
• Present roadmaps, demos, and progress updates to senior leadership.
