Merrimack College’s School of Engineering and Computational Sciences is a hub of innovation and excellence in engineering and computational disciplines. We offer ABET-accredited undergraduate programs in civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering, as well as computer engineering, computer science, and data science. Position Overview

The Department of Civil Engineering invites applications for a full-time, open rank, non-tenure track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Practice/Instructional Professor and Program Director in Construction Management. The role begins in Spring 2025 or Fall 2025. Responsibilities include developing and teaching undergraduate (and possibly graduate) courses.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Deliver three courses (12 credits) per semester.
  • Stay current with industry trends to keep content relevant.
  • Mentor students academically and professionally.
  • Maintain office hours for student consultations.
  • Participate in departmental and institutional activities.
  • Foster a collegial, supportive work environment.
  • The Program Director will lead the construction management program, assist with recruitment, and may receive a course load reduction.
Qualifications
  • MS degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong background in construction management.
  • Potential or demonstrated teaching excellence at undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
