Nucor Corporation is seeking a Production Lead for the night shift (6:00PM to 6:00AM) in Crawfordsville, IN. The role focuses on leading a production line, training teammates, and maintaining safe, efficient product flow within a collaborative, safety‑driven culture.

Light supervisory duties include stepping in for the Supervisor as needed. Qualifications include at least 6 months of steel manufacturing experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production line as part of the leadership team at Nucor, guiding teammates and ensuring safe, efficient operations.
• Monitor machine loading to maintain proper product flow and train teammates on the line.
• Establish and set production pace, maintain efficiency and ensure quality on the line.
• Fill in for other positions on the line and for the Supervisor as necessary.
• Communicate information to other departments and teammates as it relates to production.

Basic Job Functions:

The responsibilities of the Production Lead include but are not limited to: being a positive member of the leadership team at NTSIN, being an active participant with developing teammates within our culture, monitoring machine loading to ensure proper flow of product throughout the department, as well as overseeing and training teammates on the line. This position is also responsible for communicating information to other departments and teammates as it relates to production. The Production Lead is responsible for establishing and setting the production pace, maintaining efficiency, and ensuring quality on the line. Additional responsibilities will include filling in for other positions on the line, and for the Supervisor, as necessary.

This is for Night Shift 6:00PM to 6:00AM

Minimum Qualifications:

• Competent with Microsoft Office software programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Tower fabrication processes and procedures.
• Previous leadership experience
