Description

Why It's a Great Opportunity:

Metro Water Recovery is committed to providing safe, reliable, and sustainable wastewater treatment to our community. At the Northern Treatment Plant (NTP), effective maintenance is essential to keeping critical infrastructure and equipment operating safely and efficiently. As the NTP Senior Maintenance Manager, you will provide leadership and strategic direction for the daily activities of the NTP Maintenance Division and play a key role in ensuring the long-term reliability and performance of Metro's treatment facilities.

In this role, you'll lead a diverse team of highly skilled maintenance professionals across Electrical Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, and Facilities Maintenance. You'll establish priorities, develop maintenance strategies, and oversee programs that support equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and the long-term health of Metro's assets.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact at one of Metro's critical treatment facilities while working with leaders and teams across the organization. We offer a range of benefits, including a flexible work environment, a competitive salary, and an incentive training program to help you grow and develop your skills. This is just a small sample of all the benefits we offer!

Why It's a Great Department:

The Maintenance Division at the Northern Treatment Plant is an integral part of Metro's Operations and Maintenance organization. Our team is responsible for maintaining the mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and facility systems that support the safe and reliable operation of the treatment plant.

The NTP Senior Maintenance Manager works closely with Operations and other Metro departments to coordinate daily activities, maintenance projects, construction projects, and long-term improvement initiatives. Our work requires strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving as we balance the needs of a complex industrial facility with safety, regulatory, operational, and maintenance requirements.

We believe in developing strong teams and creating an environment where employees are supported, challenged, and empowered to do their best work. The NTP Maintenance Division provides opportunities to solve complex problems, improve processes, develop innovative solutions, and directly contribute to the reliability of a facility that serves our community every day.

How to be Successful in the Role:

We're looking for an experienced maintenance leader who can provide clear direction, build strong teams, and effectively manage the competing priorities of a large wastewater treatment facility. You'll use maintenance performance metrics and the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to establish priorities, guide maintenance strategies, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and equipment reliability.

Strong leadership and communication skills are essential. You will direct and support Maintenance Supervisors across the Electrical, Mechanical, and Facilities Maintenance groups while providing coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, and development opportunities to employees. You'll establish clear expectations, promote accountability, and foster a culture focused on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

You will also coordinate closely with the NTP Operations division, as well as other Metro departments to prioritize maintenance and capital projects, address operational challenges, and ensure work is completed in accordance with safety, contractual, and regulatory requirements. Your ability to think strategically while effectively managing day-to-day plant needs will be critical to success.

This role requires someone who can identify constraints and opportunities, optimize maintenance programs, manage resources and budgets, and make sound decisions in a dynamic industrial environment. Whether you're responding to an immediate maintenance need or developing a long-term strategy for asset reliability, you'll have the opportunity to influence how Metro maintains and operates its critical infrastructure.

At Metro, we value excellence, integrity, inclusion, and collaboration. We seek a leader who shares these values and can inspire diverse teams to achieve results aligned with Metro's mission and strategic goals.
