cFocus Software Software Developer/Programmer Junior (NTIRA)
cFocus Software seeks a NTIRA Software Developer/Programmer Junior to join our program supporting the US Navy. This position is remote and requires a Secret clearance.
Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance
- Associates degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering; or a degree in Mathematics or Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience supporting software development in web-based, cloud environments, including designing, coding, testing, and implementing custom web applications.
- Knowledge of technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, Java or .NET languages (C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET), Python, .NET MVC, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Typescript, Entity Framework, Visual Studio, Eclipse IDE or NetBeans, Apache Tomcat, IIS, and XML.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and web services.
- Version control experience with Atlassian Bitbucket or similar Git repositories.
- Experience with Atlassian Jira or similar project tracking software.
- Experience with Atlassian Confluence or similar knowledge management software.
- Active DoD IAT II certification.
Duties:
- Research, design, and develop software or specialized utility programs.
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions using principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematics.
- Update and enhance existing software capabilities.
- Participate in Agile meetings, including Sprint Reviews, Planning, Design, and Demonstration meetings.
- Write properly documented code with meaningful variable names and functions, following best coding practices.
- Maintain and version code in the program repository.
- Collaborate with testers to ensure thorough testing before deployment.
- Track and get approval for all work using Jira or other issue tracking tools.
- For CAS development, utilize software for database design analysis, source code control, search and replace, database comparison and merging, and building database management systems.
