Job description

cFocus Software Software Developer/Programmer Junior (NTIRA)

cFocus Software seeks a NTIRA Software Developer/Programmer Junior to join our program supporting the US Navy. This position is remote and requires a Secret clearance.

Qualifications:

1. Active Secret clearance
2. Associates degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering; or a degree in Mathematics or Engineering.
3. 3+ years of experience supporting software development in web-based, cloud environments, including designing, coding, testing, and implementing custom web applications.
4. Knowledge of technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, Java or .NET languages (C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET), Python, .NET MVC, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Typescript, Entity Framework, Visual Studio, Eclipse IDE or NetBeans, Apache Tomcat, IIS, and XML.
5. Experience developing RESTful APIs and web services.
6. Version control experience with Atlassian Bitbucket or similar Git repositories.
7. Experience with Atlassian Jira or similar project tracking software.
8. Experience with Atlassian Confluence or similar knowledge management software.
9. Active DoD IAT II certification.

Duties:

1. Research, design, and develop software or specialized utility programs.
2. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions using principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematics.
3. Update and enhance existing software capabilities.
4. Participate in Agile meetings, including Sprint Reviews, Planning, Design, and Demonstration meetings.
5. Write properly documented code with meaningful variable names and functions, following best coding practices.
6. Maintain and version code in the program repository.
7. Collaborate with testers to ensure thorough testing before deployment.
8. Track and get approval for all work using Jira or other issue tracking tools.
9. For CAS development, utilize software for database design analysis, source code control, search and replace, database comparison and merging, and building database management systems.
