Job description

cFocus Software seeks a NTIRA Software Developer/Programmer Junior to join our program supporting the US Navy. This position is remote and requires a Secret clearance.

Qualifications:

1. Active Secret clearance
2. Associates degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering; or a degree in Mathematics or Engineering.
3. 3+ years of experience in software development support in web-based, cloud environments, including designing, coding, testing, and implementing custom web applications.
4. Knowledge of technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, Java or .NET languages (C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET), Python, .NET MVC, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Typescript, Entity Framework, Visual Studio, Eclipse IDE or NetBeans, Apache Tomcat, IIS, XML; and experience with process documentation.
5. Experience developing RESTful APIs and web services.
6. Version control experience with Atlassian Bitbucket or similar Git repositories.
7. Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence or similar project management and knowledge management tools.
8. Active DoD IAT II certification.

Duties:

1. Research, design, and develop software or specialized utility programs.
2. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
3. Update or enhance existing software capabilities.
4. Participate in Agile meetings such as Sprint Reviews, Planning, Design, and Demonstration meetings.
5. Maintain properly documented code with meaningful variable names and functions, adhering to best coding practices.
6. Ensure coding changes are maintained and versioned in the program code repository.
7. Work with testers to ensure thorough testing before deployment.
8. Track and document all work in Jira or other issue tracking software.
9. For CAS development, utilize software for database design analysis, source code control, search and replace, database comparison and merging, and building database management systems.
