Scope:
Lead the strategic design and end-to-end implementation of the VMware Avi Load Balancer within a VCF 9.1 private cloud environment within a large financial organization. You will serve as the primary delivery consultant for modernizing application delivery, ensuring seamless integration across Virtual Private Clouds (VPC), NSX networking, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and VM workload environments. This role requires a balance of deep technical mastery in Avi configuration and automation, along with exceptional soft skills to guide stakeholders through complex digital transformations
Description and Overview
The NSX Architect will work directly with customers and the VCF Architect to understand business requirements, and design network architecture that supports the design requirements of VCF. This role focuses on high-level and low-level solution architecture and design leadership, ensuring that deployments align with VMware best practices and customer goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design workshops and discovery sessions with customer stakeholders.
- Provide input to transformation roadmaps and migration strategies from legacy NSX or other legacy network models
- Collaborate with oversight architects, consultants, project managers, and partner teams to ensure designs are executed effectively
- Review and approve design artifacts, ensuring alignment with VMware reference architectures.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customer executives and technical leads.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years VMware experience
- Training in VCF 9 (hands-on preferred).
- Deep technical knowledge of VCF, including vSphere architecture, NSX, vSAN, VCF Automation,VCF Operations and VKS.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.
- Hybrid cloud experience (VMC on AWS, or Azure VMware Solution, or Google Cloud VMware Engine).
- Physical fabric integration experience to include EVPN
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols including BGP and OSPF
- Understanding of highly available architectures, container networking and network convergence
- Familiarity with VCF Suite, containerization, and enterprise automation strategies.
