Job summary

Tulsa Community College is seeking New Student Orientation Leaders to assist with orientation programs on campus. You will contact students before, during, and after orientation, welcome new students, and present to students and families.

You will help prepare activities and materials and explain academic opportunities and procedures. You will acquaint new students with campus services, help with class schedules, and assist with registration while upholding the student conduct code.

Qualifications

• Current TCC student or recent graduate within the past two years.
• Creative personality who enjoys working with people.
• Strong interest in helping students and parents learn more about TCC.
• Comfortable presenting in front of others, facilitating conversation, and making numerous phone calls.
• Works well as a member of a team.
• Experience as a successful TCC student preferred.

Job description

New Student Orientation Leaders will work with TCC staff members to facilitate orientation programs by:

Making contacts with students before, during, and after orientation.

Welcoming new students to the TCC community.

Giving presentations to new students and their family members.

Assisting in the preparation of orientation activities and materials.

Explaining academic opportunities and procedures.

Acquainting new students with campus services and building locations.

Aiding in the development of class schedules.

Assisting with the class registration process.

Upholding all aspects of the TCC student conduct code.

WORK SCHEDULE:

February 26th, March 5, March 26, April 2, April 9, April 16, April 23, and April 30

Starting May 12th, staff will be asked to work on Wednesdays, Thursday's, and Fridays.

Saturdays: May 1, June 5, July 17, and August 7

Current TCC student or recent graduate within the past two years.
