BorgWarner in Illinois seeks a highly skilled technician to ensure proper Bonder setup for production, load and replenish feeder magazines, and inspect parts for defects. You will log quality data, escalate issues to leadership, and maintain accurate production records in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants must read and write English; internal candidates have bidding/interview rules. This role offers competitive pay and benefits, with shift options available annually.

Responsabilidades

• Perform Set Up Validation ensuring Bonder is correctly set up for production run.
• Load components into feeder magazines and maintain replenishment.
• Inspect parts for deformities and separate questionable material to scrap/DMR.
• Report quality issues to Team Leader; comply with process standards.
• Maintain production and scrap records; note production inefficiencies.
• Identify machine faults, restart equipment as needed; follow safety rules.

Position Requirements

Perform Set Up Validation ensuring Bonder is set up correctly for production run. Make sure that the Bonder is clean of debris. Load components into feeder magazines and ensure the magazine is always replenished for production run. Understand the function of the bonding operation Perform WinSPC checks and place entries into the computer system Inspect parts for any deformities with the part. Separate all questionable material and place this material in the scrap container or DMR as appropriate. Report any quality issues to the Team Leader or their designate. Comply with process standards. Maintain required production and scrap records. Report any production inefficiencies to the team leader or Supervisor. Identify and investigate unusual problems and determine the nature of part defects. Report any issues to the technician or team lead to have issues corrected. Identify interruptions in the machine, clear faults, and restart the machine as needed Shrinkwrap and pack completed friction plates as specified, noting clock # on each stack Follow safety rules and keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition Act and perform duties in a manner that is conducive to a professional, productive, and team-oriented environment Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment Perform other duties as assigned Candidates will be offered the job after the interviews and testing. Highest seniority BorgWarner employees will have the first choice of job and shifts available. Other candidates offered positions will be based on skill, ability and work history and will be offered shift based on what is available when they are given job offer. Shift preference occurs in September annually.

Pay Range

$19.63 - $28.40

Internal Candidates: Eligibility to Bid

• Employees with less than one year of service are only eligible to bid on higher paying labor grade positions.
• Employees with more than one year of service will receive first consideration.
• Employees in a Disciplinary Step 1 are eligible to bid on any job.
• Employees in Step 2 are eligible to bid on any job after 1 year.
• Employees in Step 3 are eligible to bid on any job after 1 year.
• If an employee accepted a new position, they cannot bid on the same or lower paying labor grade for 1 year.
• If you were previously forced out of this job classification and are interested in returning to the position, you must complete a job bidding form.

Internal Candidates: Eligibility to Interview

• Applicants must meet all criteria in the job bidding process
• Employees who have been interviewed within 6 months for the SAME exact position may not be re-interview.
