The role requires strong problem‑solving, effective communication with two departments, and the ability to navigate the shared NSHE instance to audit reports, evaluate transcripts, and post degrees and certificates.

• Build coding schemes and program advisement reports for all new degree programs.

Western Nevada College is recruiting for a NSHE Specialist 1. The purpose of this position is to serve as the Module Lead for the Academic Advisement (AA) portion of the PeopleSoft Student Services Module located on the Western Nevada College campus, to serve as the college Transfer Credit Evaluator, and posting degrees. As the Module Lead for AA, this position will represent WNC in the shared instance throughout NSHE, maintain and update audit reports, and trouble‑shoot technical problems with PS software. As the Transfer Credit Evaluator, this position will evaluate transcripts and post transfer credit to student's WNC transcript. This position also determines if requirements are met and posts degrees and certificates of achievements for each graduate who fulfills all requirements. All aspects of this position require a great deal of responsibility, initiative, technological expertise, problem-solving, the ability to communicate effectively with two separate departments, and to network effectively with staff supporting other AA modules within the shared instance.
