Job summary

UIDP in Columbia, SC is seeking a Grants & Evaluation Manager to oversee the full grant lifecycle, with emphasis on NSF proposals, post-award administration, and evaluation coordination. The role serves as the primary liaison between internal teams and external evaluators.

You will develop narratives, budgets, evaluation plans, and data-collection strategies, monitor performance, and drive evidence-based program improvements through clear dashboards and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and at least five years of grant administration or program evaluation experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting NSF grants, proposals, and external evaluators.
• Strong knowledge of grant lifecycle, reporting, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate NSF-focused grant proposals from opportunity review through final submission.
• Develop proposal schedules, checklists, and internal review processes.
• Coordinate contributions from PIs, program staff, finance, leadership, partners, and external evaluators.
• Prepare proposal narratives, budgets, justification documents, evaluation plans, and data-management plans.
• Review applications for accuracy and compliance, and assist with submissions through sponsor systems.
• Monitor funding opportunities and communicate deadlines to stakeholders.
• Manage assigned awards from launch through closeout and maintain grant files.
• Track milestones, deliverables, and reporting requirements; coordinate annual and final reports.
• Coordinate grant budgets, cost share, subawards, and financial commitments.
• Identify compliance concerns and escalation needs; coordinate grant closeout activities.
• Serve as liaison between UIDP and external evaluators; support data collection and analysis for program improvement.
