Job summary

Sandisk in Irvine is seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to drive a robust sourcing strategy for NPI products, ensuring supply continuity and selecting qualified components.

You will collaborate with design engineers, commodity managers, and suppliers, bringing technical expertise on electronics, project management skills, and strong English communication to deliver best-in-class results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in Engineering or Science with equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience, expert on electronic components, IC and project management.
• Experience as technical commodity management, product development, quality management or field application engineering; hardware design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with NPI Procurement, Design Engineers, Commodity Managers and stakeholders to drive a robust sourcing strategy at NPI phase.
• Provide technology expertise to commodity managers to develop supply base strategy.
• Drive BOM screen reviews; propose 2nd sources or replacements; lead qualification process.
• Provide expert technical support to supplier/technology selection process.
• Ensure qualified suppliers meet Sandisk technical and quality requirements.
• Review suppliers’ roadmaps to ensure alignment with Sandisk requirements.
