Job summary

Amazon Web Services’ Hardware Engineering team seeks experienced Manufacturing Engineers to drive the manufacturing launch and resolve process issues for SSD products. You will partner with ODMs, CMs, and internal teams to improve quality, reliability, and yield across a global production network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience with storage drives or high-tech hardware.
• 2+ years of product development experience.
• 2+ years of statistical analysis and reliability testing (JEDEC standards).
• Experience with failure analysis to drive root cause resolution.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and optimize hardware designs for quality assurance and manufacturing efficiency of SSD products.
• Scale up manufacturing on new SSD products across a global network.
• Lead quality control across CM/ODM and vendors.
• Provide hands-on technical support during new product introductions.
• Investigate and resolve customer escalations through root cause analysis.
• Define hardware reliability qualification plans and drive reliability improvements.
