Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking an NPI Harness Inspector to inspect prototype harness assemblies for proper function and IPC/WHMA-A-620 compliance. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, and the skill to document findings accurately.

You will participate in First Article builds with Design and NPI Quality, lead inspections for prototypes, and help develop 3D modeling capabilities while maturing inspection plans for production readiness.

Qualifications

• IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification or ability to obtain it.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspections.
• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and work instructions.
• Understanding of harness assembly and inspection processes.
• Good documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and standards consistently.
• Willingness to learn and develop inspection skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect harness assemblies to IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
• Identify defects in crimps, terminations, insulation, and routing.
• Verify labeling, configuration, and workmanship meet requirements.
• Document inspection results in company systems.
• Assist in receiving inspection and rollout at alternate locations.

• Lead First Article Inspection for prototype builds when needed.

Position Overview

The NPI Harness Inspector is responsible for inspecting prototype harness assemblies for proper function and compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and internal quality requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures, and a solid understanding of inspection techniques. The NPI Harness Inspector will support NPI Quality and Design by identifying defects, documenting findings, and ensuring all assemblies meet required specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of harness assemblies to IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
• Identify defects in crimps, terminations, insulation, and routing
• Verify labeling, configuration, and workmanship meet requirements
• Document inspection results accurately within company systems
• Assist in receiving inspection and system rollout at alternate production locations
• Participate in First Article Build with Design and NPI Quality
• Lead First Article Inspection for prototype builds (occasionally at supplier, if needed)
• Develop skillset in 3D modeling systems
• Mature inspection plans for assigned commodities in preparation for volume production
• Assist in troubleshooting, repair, and retrofit of prototype vessels

Required Qualifications

Physical Demands
