Job summary

Arnold Magnetic Technologies in Ohio seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead cost estimation and the full shop-floor launch of new products. You will align quotes with engineering and production, drive BOM/DFM decisions, and ensure manufacturing readiness from concept through pilot to volume production.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in regulated environments, with CAD tools (SolidWorks) and ERP systems, plus strong project management and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years’ Manufacturing Engineer experience quoting and facilitating new product introduction and launch in a regulated manufacturing environment (AS9100).
• Strong project management mastery to plan/schedule/drive multiphase initiatives using stage-gate/phase-gate processes.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes (die casting, machining, electrical component/motor assembly), GD&T, BOM, and ERP systems.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks) and project scheduling tools; knowledge of APQP/PPAP/PFMEA and Lean/Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimating & Quoting: Review RFQs, analyze CAD data, verify cost models, determine manufacturing feasibility and pricing.
• Project Management: Plan, schedule, and drive multi-phase initiatives using stage-gate/phase-gate processes; manage critical-path, milestones, and resources.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Lead products from concept to pilot builds, validation, manufacturing readiness, and launch; manage BOM/ECOs and DFMs.
• Process & Tooling Development: Collaborate with tooling/engineering to select equipment, design fixtures, and establish production routers and work instructions.
• Quality & Compliance: Drive PFMEA, control plans, PPAP submissions.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Liaise with customers, finance, quality, and shop-floor; support supplier readiness and manufacturability.
• Other duties as assigned.
