Job summary
Safari Circuits, LLC is seeking an Advanced Operations Engineer to lead New Product Introduction (NPI) and process development, ensuring products are transitioned from concept to full-scale production. This role interfaces between customers, program management, and manufacturing to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5+ years in electronics manufacturing, with experience in NPI within contract manufacturing, IPC knowledge,
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field).
- 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
- Experience supporting NPI in a contract manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in regulated industries (Medical, Aerospace, Defense).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP and MES systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical activities for new product introductions from quote through production release.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
- Develop manufacturing process flows, work instructions, and tooling requirements.
- Support first builds, pilot runs, and production ramp-up.
- Optimize SMT, through-hole, box build, and test processes.
- Drive yield improvement, scrap reduction, and process capability.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Production.
- Interface with customers on technical and manufacturing topics.
