Job summary

LitePoint seeks an experienced Material Planning Manager to lead the planning team and align supply, materials, and production for new product introductions. You will set best practices, drive efficiency, and develop team capability in a fast-paced environment.

You will define sourcing strategies, manage supplier engagement for prototypes and production builds, and coordinate transitions to contract manufacturing partners while ensuring material availability and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of experience working with electro-mechanical products.
• Proven experience in supply chain, materials, and production planning.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems for planning and procurement.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication at all levels.
• Occasional travel (~10%) to Asia-based contract manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing planning team with coaching and career development.
• Establish and standardize best practices across NPI planning processes.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency and scalability.
• Define global sourcing strategies with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Oversee supplier engagement, including quotation management for prototype and production builds.
• Develop strategies for transitioning planning to contract manufacturing partners.
• Establish material planning, procurement, and inventory management guidelines.
• Identify and resolve critical material shortages impacting new product introduction.
• Manage ECNs, rework processes, and defective material strategies.
• Ensure successful production builds with work order releases and progress tracking.
