Job summary

VIAVI Solutions Inc. is seeking an Ops NPI Project Manager to lead cross-functional Operations teams in planning and executing new product introductions, initially focusing on Tips and Adaptors for fiber optic interfaces.

You will manage timelines, budgets, and risks to ensure smooth transitions from design to production at VIAVI or CM factories. The role requires coordinating four R&D sites across the US, Canada, and Europe, plus contract manufacturers in Asia.

Qualifications

5 years of project management experience leading cross-functional teams.
5 years of NPI project management in cross-functional environment.
Experience coordinating across North American and European time zones and cultures.
Strong CM/CMO environment understanding and product transfers to CM.
Proficiency with Jira and phase-gate processes; evaluating project tools.

Responsibilities

Lead Operations elements of the NPI process from initiation to production launch.
Drive integrated project planning and dependencies across Functions.
Coordinate cross-country R&D teams and external contract manufacturers.
Align NPI tracking with PDP and standardize tooling or processes.
Ensure manufacturing readiness for production launch and ramp.
Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
Communicate status and resource usage to stakeholders and leadership.
Drive continuous improvement in NPI processes and tools.
