Job summary

VIAVI Solutions in Bothell, WA is seeking an experienced New Product Introduction (Ops NPI) Project Manager to lead cross-functional Operations teams through the planning and execution of new product introductions, starting with Tips and Adaptors (T&A) for fiber optic interfaces.

This role will coordinate with four R&D sites in the United States, Canada, and France, plus contract manufacturers, to ensure on-time production and cost targets.

Qualifications

5+ years of project management leading cross-functional teams.
5+ years of NPI project management experience in a cross-functional environment.
Experience coordinating across North American and European time zones and cultures.
Strong understanding of CM environments or successful transfer of products to CM.
Working knowledge of Jira and phase-gate product development processes; experience evaluating tools.

Responsibilities

Lead the Operations elements of the NPI process from initiation to production launch and first shipment.
Represent Operations on the cross-functional NPI project team.
Drive integrated project planning and dependencies across Operations and other functions.
Lead the Operations team to meet PDP deliverables and goals.
Forecast project expenses and manage capacity and ramp planning.
