Job summary

IREN seeks an NPI Materials Manager to own the flow of hardware for new platform evaluations—from lab to production. You’ll manage samples, loaners, and pre-production units, ensuring accurate BOMs, configurations, and timely delivery across labs and data centers.

You will coordinate with Engineering, TPM, Sourcing, and Data Center Ops to optimize material readiness, lead times, and vendor terms while driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in materials management, NPI, or hardware program operations.
• Experience managing BOMs, POs, and multi-site inventory.
• Cross-functional coordination with Eng, Sourcing and Ops.
• Vendors on sample/evaluation hardware; manage lead times.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end materials plan for every NPI program including GPUs, CPUs, storage, networks, optics, cabling, racks, PDUs, and spares.
• Partner with Engineering and TPMs to translate test plans into material requirements, quantities, configurations, and dates.
• Drive supplier engagement and loaner/evaluation-unit terms for OEMs/ODMs; manage extensions/returns.
• Build and own the NPI materials schedule; surface risk and mitigate when lead times slip or configs change.
• Coordinate inbound logistics with Data Center Operations and lab teams to ensure on-time, test-ready hardware.
• Maintain serial-level inventory across sites with chain of custody, location, and disposition.
• Manage engineering change requests that affect materials and keep BOMs synchronized.
• Work with Sourcing, Procurement, and Finance on quotes and purchase orders for qualifying platforms.
• Serve as day-to-day contact for OEM/ODM and silicon-vendor logistics and RMAs.
• Establish and improve NPI material processes, dashboards, and metrics for readiness.
• Capture lessons learned from each NPI cycle and feed back into sourcing strategy.
