Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering (or equivalent)
• 1–4 years in manufacturing/NPI engineering, ideally in single‑use medical device, diagnostics, or biopharma consumables
• Experience with design transfer, design controls, and documentation practices
• Experience with process/equipment validation concepts (IQ/OQ/PQ) is a plus
• Hands‑on with technicians, reading CAD/drawings, and working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment
• Experience qualifying and working with contract manufacturers or suppliers
• Statistical tools (SPC, capability studies) and risk management
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving in a fast‑paced startup
• Exceptional organization, handling multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Lead design transfer from R&D prototypes to in‑house pilot production
• Design and build fixturing, select and implement new equipment on the pilot line
• Develop, release, and maintain build documentation and train manufacturing team
• Collaborate with R&D to drive DFX improvements
• Coordinate with Quality for regulatory compliance and risk-based quality control
• Schedule and coordinate builds with the onsite manufacturing team and troubleshoot issues
• Manage inventory and kitting; coordinate sourcing and vendor management
• Track yield, quality, and build data; perform root cause analysis and improvements
• Own handoff to contract manufacturing with documentation packages
