Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own NPI readiness from initial concept through production release. You will develop routing and production plans for new parts, define AM process requirements, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve cost, schedule and quality targets.

Responsibilities include establishing programming standards, coordinating changes, and supporting PFMEA and control plans. A strong focus on Six Sigma, lean waste reduction, and training is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent with manufacturing engineering experience.
• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with NPI and production release processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own NPI manufacturing readiness from early build through production release (process definition, planning, documentation, controls).
• Develop and maintain manufacturing routers and production planning for new part introductions, including operation sequence and inspection points.
• Define and validate process requirements for metal AM builds in partnership with Quality and Engineering.
• Establish machine programming and build setup standards and ensure documentation control for production readiness.
• Lead cross-functional execution of NPI deliverables to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets.
• Drive process capability and variation reduction using Six Sigma tools and Lean waste-reduction opportunities during ramp and stabilization.
• Coordinate ECO/PCO impacts and ensure training and readiness before release for change management.
• Support PFMEA, control plans, and process validations and reflect them in planning and training.
