Job summary

IonQ, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in New Product Introduction (NPI) for control electronics subsystems.

Based at our College Park, MD headquarters, you will own all control electronics from an NPI and Manufacturing Engineering perspective, collaborating across cross-functional teams and external partners. You will drive transitions from prototype to production, optimize manufacturability and cost, and build a robust NPI pipeline with hands-on hardware involvement on

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering is required.
3+ years work experience in manufacturing engineering focused on electronics assembly or testing.
Experience with analog/RF components (DACs/ADCs, RF electronics) in manufacturing contexts.
Hands-on hardware assembly, soldering, machining, or related fabrication experience.
Experience developing assembly instructions and manufacturing documentation.
Experience using PLM systems and CAD tools.
Interest in continuous learning and on-site work every day.

Responsibilities

Own control electronics subsystems from an NPI and Manufacturing Engineering perspective.
Collaborate with design, production, and external manufacturers to improve designs and scale processes.
Develop and document manufacturing processes, assembly instructions, and test procedures.
Provide DFM/DFA/DFT feedback during design reviews to optimize manufacturability.
Support system-level integration and bring-up of control electronics, including software drivers.
