Torrey Holistics in Camarillo, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own new product introductions from R&D through production. You will coach engineers, manage 5–15 active projects, and design manufacturable components using SolidWorks with strong GD&T discipline. You will partner with Production, Quality, and Suppliers to deliver reliable, inspection-ready parts and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • 5+ years of SolidWorks experience and end-to-end product development.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience with engineers is needed.
  • Strong GD&T and detailed drawing revision control is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead new product introduction from R&D to production, reporting to Owner.
  • Coach and mentor engineers and interns through technical direction and career development.
  • Run 5–15 active projects with milestones, risks and deliverables.
  • Develop tooling and fixtures, including CMM inspection fixtures, for builds and inspections.
  • Review drawings for GD&T and ensure downstream teams have what they need.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Inspection and Manufacturing to support launches and sustaining work.

You grab a coffee, review your project board, and step onto a production floor humming with about 35 CNC machines across three buildings. By 7:15, you’re checking in with your tight-knit engineering team—mentoring, unblocking, prioritizing. By mid-morning, you’re deep in SolidWorks, refining a complex assembly, applying smart DFM decisions, and tightening up GD&T to ensure the drawing is crystal clear for manufacturing and inspection. After lunch, you’re translating a customer’s latest feedback from the weekly engineering call into actionable updates, setting up a smooth handoff to production, and guiding inspection on CMM fixture strategies.
