Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is seeking an NPI Engineer in Byron Center, MI to lead the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing. You will collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and to establish robust processes, tooling, and equipment for new products.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in NPI within manufacturing, strong PCBA process knowledge, and experience with CAD tools (Altium Designer, OrCAD) and PLM systems (Arena, Agile).

Qualifications

• 3+ years in New Product Introduction (NPI) within manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Strong PCBA manufacturing processes and test knowledge.
• Proficient with CAD (Altium Designer, OrCAD) and PLM (Arena, AGILE).
• Scripting experience (Python) for automation and data analysis.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration and project management.

Responsibilities

• Drive successful transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing to optimize manufacturability.
• Develop and implement processes, tooling, and equipment for new products.
• Conduct process validation and qualification to ensure quality.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions during NPI.

Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the successful transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes and test methodologies.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD) and PLM systems (e.g., Arena, Agile).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and data analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage projects effectively.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) for manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for data analysis and automation.
• Background in a specific manufacturing process (e.g., semiconductor, automotive, aerospace).
