You will shape sourcing strategies, select suppliers, and drive value across new product introductions to keep launches on track. This highly visible role requires strong communication, strategic sourcing, and supplier management skills, with close collaboration across engineering and procurement teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience with Caterpillar NPI process and Gateways.
• Experience with procurement systems such as Lognet or PROcure.
• Basic engine component operational understanding.
• Established network with IPSD-Large engineering and Power and Energy Procurement teams.
• Understanding supplier selection strategies and supplier tooling management.

Responsibilities

• Shape sourcing strategies by developing clear, competitive RFx packages.
• Influence critical make-or-buy decisions through thoughtful procurement insights.
• Identify and select high-performing suppliers for new product introduction parts.
• Deliver measurable value through cost avoidance and reduction initiatives.
• Move supplier tooling requests forward to support program readiness.
• Ensure pilot and production parts arrive when needed to keep launches moving.
• Partner across teams to keep NPI programs on track and on schedule.
