Job summary

Fluence is seeking a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer to lead the introduction and ramp-up of new contract manufacturing sites and production capabilities in support of New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.

The role focuses on manufacturing readiness with external partners, defining production requirements, validating process capability, and transitioning from prototype to full production. Travel 25–90% is expected.

Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing or process engineering roles (3+ years).
Experience driving automation solutions for metal fabrication and component integration.
Hands-on experience in high-volume, low-mix production environments.
Familiarity with OEE, yield, and KPI tracking.
Knowledge of APQP or stage-gate releases, ISO9001, TS16949 systems.

Responsibilities

Introduce, develop, and establish new contract manufacturing locations and production capabilities.
Lead NPI tasks related to design and launch of manufacturing capabilities.
Manage CM relationships to meet project timelines and deliverables.
Coordinate prototype manufacturing activities including prototyping, logistics, scheduling and budgeting.
Create and maintain AME deliverables (PFD, PFMEA, QCP, manufacturing BOMs).
Participate in design reviews to influence manufacturability (DFM/DFX).
Bridge CM, engineering, and procurement on packaging requirements.
Develop and track manufacturing KPIs aligned with company goals.
Support cost reduction and quality targets; travel 25–90% as needed.
