Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. seeks an experienced NPI Buyer to drive procurement strategy and supplier readiness for new product introductions.

You will work with Engineering, Program Management, Operations, and Quality to ensure timely launches, favorable cost, and robust risk mitigation across development stages. In this role, you will manage RFQ/RFP processes, evaluate supplier quotes, and coordinate PPAP/APQP milestones while supporting cost reduction and value engineering initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
• 5+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supplier management experience; product launches preferred.
• Experience working with suppliers in technical/manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI procurement activities across cross-functional teams from concept to production launch.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for new product components and assemblies; manage RFQ/RFPs.
• Drive sourcing strategy, cost targets, and risk mitigation for new products.
• Coordinate supplier readiness, PPAP/APQP milestones, and launch readiness reviews.
• Monitor cost performance and support VE/VA initiatives throughout development.
