Job summary

Fenner Precision Polymers invites an intern to join the New Product Textile Engineering Team in Lititz, PA. The role focuses on supporting product development for the textile category, including testing, data analysis, and documentation under team supervision.

You will conduct lab tests on technical textiles, model fixtures and product patterns in 3D, and help with specifications updates and R&D projects. Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Two years of college in a related field.
• Basic lab skills and safety awareness.
• Ability to record and interpret lab test data.
• Familiarity with mechanical testing concepts is a plus.

Fenner Precision Polymershas an exciting internship opportunity with theFenner New Product Textile Engineering Team at Manheim/Lititz, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for product/process/testing needs for the textile product category.

As part of the New Product Development Team, you will …….

S/he will be responsible for collaborating with various departments to:

• Conduct lab testing on technical textiles according to product development needs
• 3D model new fixtures or product models to enhance product understanding

Develop proficiency in emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to support project work, data analysis, content creation, and operational efficiency under the guidance of team leaders

• Learn components and processes of rapier looms
• Technical documentation:
• Updating specs to new format
• Product validation – mechanical properties like tensile, tear, EPI, PPI, weight, etc.
• 3D modeling of weave patterns
• R&D projects
