Arthrex in Santa Barbara, CA seeks a New Product Development & Sourcing Buyer I to manage materials for prototypes and production, coordinating with Engineering, Suppliers, Quality and Manufacturing. The role negotiates contracts, terms, and supplier selections, tracks RFQ/RFP processes, and supports cost reduction initiatives while ensuring supply continuity for new product launches.

Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years in inventory or manufacturing context preferred, with strong negotiation and MS

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Experience with inventory management or manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement for prototype and production materials across Engineering, Suppliers, Quality and Manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Project/Program Management on development projects and supplier oversight.
• Monitor market conditions; identify potential suppliers and manage RFQ/RFP processes.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery to ensure supply continuity and cost control.
• Set up new Part Numbers in the MRP system and manage forecasting for inventory and orders.
• Support supplier quality and change management activities in coordination with stakeholders.
