Job summary

MDS Staffing in the Binghamton, NY area is seeking an Engineering Supervisor for New Product Development. This hands-on leadership role guides a multidisciplinary team through concept, prototyping, validation, and production release.

You will mentor engineers, manage priorities across multiple programs, and partner with Operations, Quality, and Applications to smooth the manufacturing transition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of product development engineering experience with strong hands-on prototyping skills.
• Leadership or technical mentorship experience.
• Experience with CAD/PDM systems such as Creo and Windchill preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of Design, Development, and Test Engineers.
• Lead new product development from concept through prototyping, validation, and production release.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance in design, prototyping, testing, and design reviews.
• Manage priorities and engineering resources across multiple development programs.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, and Application Engineering to support product development and manufacturing transition.
• Drive improvements to prototyping and product development processes.
