Job summary

EMD Electronics in United States seeks an experienced NPD Engineer to own product development from concept to validation. You will lead design using thermal/fluids simulations and CAD tools like SolidWorks, while coordinating with product management to refine specifications and drive cross‑functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Responsibilities include creating BOMs, P&ID layouts, and executing stage‑gate artifacts such as ERS and FMEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering; 5+ years in product development.
• Proficient with thermal/fluids simulation tools and CAD software (SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of stage-gate processes, risk assessment (FMEA), and specs.
• Familiar with industry codes and safety standards for equipment design.

Responsibilities

• Execute fluid and thermal simulations to validate performance targets.
• Develop and implement testing and validation plans.
• Create initial concept drawings and BOMs; design P&ID layouts.
• Deliver artifacts within a stage-gate process and assess IP risks.
• Ensure equipment design complies with SEMI S2/S22 and NFPA; support deployment.
