Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an NPD Electrical Engineer II to lead electrical design using AutoCAD Electrical for new products. You will develop schematics, panels, and BOMs while integrating configurator data with CAD and ERP to meet schedule, quality, and cost targets.

You will collaborate daily with Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to drive DFMEA/PFMEA, ensure compliance with UL/CSA/IEC, EMC/EMI and NEC/NFPA 70/70E, and support manufacturing readiness from concept through

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent required.
• Experience with UL/CSA/IEC, EMC/EMI, and NEC/NFPA 70/70E preferred.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate products with AutoCAD Electrical deliverables.
• Build scalable drawings and BOMs; integrate configurator, CAD, and ERP data.
• Encode rules-driven configuration to generate schematics, panel layouts, and BOMs.
• Support verification, manufacturing readiness, and stage-gate processes.
• Collaborate with Quality, Compliance, and Manufacturing to meet targets.
