Job summary

Kalkaska Medical Associates in Kalkaska, MI is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Behavior Health Specialty Clinic. The APP will work collaboratively with a Psychiatrist, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive care for a variety of patients.

Qualifications

• Meets credentialing requirement for Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• BLS certification required.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in behavioral health assessment and the treatment of trauma-specific conditions, mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorder using evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive behavioral health care in an outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with Psychiatrist, nursing staff and allied health professionals to coordinate care.
• Support access to specialty services and participate in care coordination.
• Contribute to trauma- and substance-use treatment within the clinic.
