Job summary

Cook Children's Celina Primary Care is seeking an advanced practice clinician to provide autonomous patient assessments, diagnoses, and interventions in a private office setting. You will collaborate with physicians, manage routine wellness and illness care, and support coverage during physician absences.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in Nursing with FNP/PNP or a Master’s in PA Studies, Texas APRN/PA licensure, CPR, and PALS preferred. Clinical research participation is encouraged.

Qualifications

• APRN with FNP/PNP certs and Texas RN/APRN licenses or PA-C with TX license.
• 2+ years pediatric primary care or acute care experience preferred.
• Prescriptive authority and BLS required; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform autonomous patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention per protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and maintain patient care plans.
• Provide office coverage during physician absences and support hospital admissions when needed.
• Incorporate current research findings into practice and participate in clinical research as appropriate.

Autonomously performs patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention according to approved protocols. Supports physician(s) to develop and maintain patients. Provides office coverage for physician(s) during periods of absence. Prescribes a variety of modalities to meet wellness and illness needs, up to and including facilitating hospital admissions and prescriptive authority. Incorporates current research findings into clinical practice; participates in pertinent areas of clinical research, disseminating findings. **Education & Experience:****Advanced Practice Registered Nurses**Master’s Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification required.
