Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Managed Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our team at the Sanchez Unit in El Paso, Texas. The APP will deliver primary, chronic, acute and urgent care to a medically diverse population in a correctional setting.

Ideal candidates are licensed Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants in Texas with strong assessment, triage and clinical judgment, capable of working under supervision and providing patient-centered

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Texas.
• Strong assessment and triage abilities.
• Excellent communication and clinical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services under supervision of Physician/Medical Director.
• Take detailed patient histories and perform examinations.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostics as needed.
• Perform procedures (injections, wound care, suturing) and manage care plans.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up needs.
• Provide emergency care when needed until a physician arrives.
