Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver comprehensive cancer genetic services in our Scarborough, ME outpatient clinic. The role includes patient evaluations, risk assessment, genetic testing coordination, and ongoing management in a multidisciplinary team.

Successful candidates will complete an intensive Genomic Cancer Risk Assessment training through City of Hope within the first two years after hire, with a flexible 40-hour work week and strong emphasis

Qualifications

• Master's Degree level education preferred for NP/PA.
• Must be able to see patients of all ages.
• Current Maine NP/PA license or eligibility; NP or PA certification required; BLS certified.
• Three or more years of experience in a physician office setting preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfort with technology and web-based practice tools.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Comfort with rapid change.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cancer genetic services in outpatient clinic; evaluate patients, establish diagnoses, coordinate and interpret genetic testing, and manage follow-up for hereditary cancer risk with genetic counselors.
• Majority of clinical effort dedicated to Cancer Risk & Prevention; support Breast Care team.
• Complete Genomic Cancer Risk Assessment training within the first two years after hire.
