MaineGeneral Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Medical Oncology to join a multidisciplinary cancer care team, delivering patient-centered evaluation, treatment and ongoing management of individuals through their cancer journey, close to home.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining comprehensive histories and performing physical examinations
• Evaluating new and established oncology patients
• Ordering and interpreting appropriate laboratory testing, diagnostic studies and imaging
• Assessing treatment response, symptoms and potential treatment-related toxicities
• Developing diagnoses and clinical assessments in collaboration with the oncology team
• Prescribing pharmacologic and other therapeutic interventions within scope of practice
• Providing patient and family education throughout treatment and survivorship
• Coordinating care with physicians, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary cancer care team
• Supporting continuity of care through thoughtful, personalized and compassionate patient visits
