Job summary

MercyOne Northeast Iowa in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Breast Center. This outpatient role features a Monday–Friday schedule with minimal call, working alongside breast surgeons, radiology, oncology, and nurse navigators.

You will manage patients from screening through survivorship, with strong onboarding and mentorship, and a focus on breast health, oncology, or women's health. Competitive compensation with incentives is offered.

Qualifications

• NP (FNP or AGNP) or PA-C certification required.
• Iowa licensure eligibility required.
• Interest or experience in Breast Health, Women’s Health, Oncology, or Surgery.
• New graduates welcome with relevant clinical exposure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new patient visits, follow-ups, and high-risk breast assessments.
• Review and communicate mammography, imaging, and biopsy results.
• Provide education and counseling on breast conditions and treatments.
• Coordinate care with imaging, surgery, oncology, and genetics.
• Support pre/post-procedure care and survivorship planning.
