Job summary

MercyOne Northeast Iowa is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient Breast Center in Waterloo, IA. This specialty-focused, multidisciplinary team will manage patients from screening through survivorship in a 100% outpatient setting.

You will collaborate with breast surgeons, radiology, oncology, and nurse navigators, with minimal call and a weekday schedule. New graduates are welcome and mentorship is provided to grow in oncology, surgery, or women's health.

Qualifications

• NP (FNP or AGNP) or PA-C certification and Iowa licensure eligibility.
• Interest or experience in breast health, women’s health, oncology, or surgery.
• New graduates welcome with relevant clinical exposure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new patient visits, follow-ups, and high-risk breast assessments.
• Review and communicate mammography, imaging, and biopsy results.
• Provide education and counseling on breast conditions and treatment options.
• Coordinate care with imaging, surgery, oncology, and genetics.
• Support pre/post-procedure care and survivorship planning.
